We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests for our desktop-based engineering tools. Your expertise in automated testing and knowledge of web test frameworks, preferably Playwright, will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions.

YOUR TASKS:

  • Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks and tools, with a focus on desktop tools and web application
  • Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the development and requirements teams to define test plans and strategies, identifying areas suitable for automation and ensuring comprehensive test coverage
  • Test Frameworks and Tools: Utilize your expertise in web test frameworks, preferably Playwright. For desktop test framework, preferably RCPTT to select and implement the most appropriate tools and technologies for test automation
  • Test Execution and Reporting: Execute automated test scripts, analyze test results, and generate comprehensive reports to communicate test coverage, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Collaboration with Development and Requirements Teams: Work closely with the development and requirements teams to understand system requirements, provide input on testability, and ensure that test automation aligns with project goals
  • Test Environment Setup: Set up and maintain test environments, including test data and configurations, to ensure accurate and efficient test execution
  • Test Case Design and Documentation: Collaborate with the development and requirements teams to design test cases, document test scenarios, and create reusable test assets for efficient and effective test automation
  • Defect Management: Identify, report, and track software defects using established defect tracking tools, working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in test automation and continuously enhance the test automation framework and processes

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer with focus on automated testing of user interfaces
  • Strong knowledge and experience with web test frameworks, ideally Playwright
  • Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Playwright, Selenium or Cypress
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Willing to learn new things
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with development and requirements teams
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for delivering high-quality software products
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of other test automation tools and frameworks is an advantage

WHAT WE CAN OFFER:

  • Monthly base salary with the option of overpayment depending on experience and base salary increase after the 4-month probation period possible
  • Performance bonuses equivalent up to 2 months of salary depending on the achievement of mutually agreed-on goals, the bonus will be paid at the end of the calendar year and is prorated for the first year based on the actual starting date
  • Flexible working hours in the time frame between 7AM to 7PM; latest start in Thailand should be 10AM, to cover working hours with European time zone
  • 10 days annual leave in the 1st year of employment, increasing by 1 day per year (to a max of 20 days per year)
  • Provident Fund:
    • starting at 10% for the first year of employment
    • adding 1% per year up to a maximum of 15% in total
  • Public holidays will be honored following the holiday designation by the Bank of Thailand
  • Accident insurance, health care budget, Dental Check-Up, and Annual Health Check-up after 6 months of employment
  • Termination of employment agreement with 1 month notice from both sides
  • Time tracking: access to tool will be provided by logi.cals GmbH
