St. Pölten June 9, 2026 - Although collaborative robotics is considered a key driver of automation, the effort required for functional safety is growing disproportionately due to outdated system architectures. In many robotic systems, safety is still implemented as a separate, hardware-based parallel system. This results in duplicate hardware, high engineering effort, and complex certification processes.

While conventional industrial robots are operated in enclosed areas, collaborative robotics requires
